Foundations

Foundations virtual patients and expanded on-line resources are designed to supplement and enhance MedU's clinical teaching series: CLIPP, SIMPLE, fmCASES and WISE-MD. Designed for medical educators teaching health care topics fundamental to the practice of medicine, Foundations' virtual patient courses focus on topics such as clinical skills, health promotion and disease prevention, culture in health, the medical home, communication skills and the health care system.

Using MedU's innovative and comprehensive curricular approach to on-line learning, Foundations modules include a combination of focused virtual patients as well as expanded expert teaching and application of practical clinical tools. Beginning with the transformation of the successful eCLIPPs project in pediatrics, the cross-disciplinary Foundations curriculum demonstrates how this core knowledge is applied to patient care across the spectrum of medical practice.
