Hurricane Irene
Sunday August 28: The storm brought a lot of rain but little wind. Lots of scattered road outages due to flash flooding but it looks like we dodged a bullet. The iInTIME/MedU office will be open on Monday, probably with reduced staff, as some of us may have difficulty getting to work.
Friday August 26: The National Weather Service is forecasting that Hurricane Irene will track up the Connecticut River Valley on Sunday August 28 which puts the iInTIME/MedU staff and offices in the path. Although the storm is expected to decrease to a tropical storm by the time it reaches here, we can still expect significant disruptions to travel and power. This web site and the servers that support the MedU cases are all engineered with geographic redundancy and other disaster avoidance techniques. Our staff and offices are not. Our primary concern is for our staff and families. While we don't expect disruptions to our web services, it may be difficult or impossible for us to respond to email or phone calls for some period of time. Please bear with us, we will try to respond to any communications as soon as it is safe and possible to do so.
