The iInTIME Learning System: A Collaborative Model

The Institute for Innovative Technology In Medical Education’s proven system for virtual patient case development, integration, and distribution is the iInTIME Learning System (ILS). Virtual patient cases developed with the ILS model provide medical students and clerkship directors access to peer-reviewed learning materials providing a solid foundation in medical knowledge appropriate to the level of the third-year student. One of the key components of the ILS is the collaborative model on which it is built.

MedU, powered by the iInTIME Learning System, represents collaborations iInTIME has with the Council on Medical Student Education in Pediatrics (COMSEP) membership, the Clerkship Directors in Internal Medicine (CDIM), the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and the Association of Surgical Educators (ASE), and the Society of Teachers in Family Medicine (STFM). By harnessing the power of these collaborations iInTIME through MedU is able to deliver virtual patient cases that comprehensively cover the nationally-accepted curriculum of its collaborators.
